Glyph
2023

Glyph is a 40”x50” installation that speaks to the human desire to carve language into stone, symbolizing the urge to leave a trace of our presence within the earth. The image is a composite of multiple photographs of etchings found along a holloway in England - a path worn into the soft earth by centuries of human foot traffic. Letters are scattered across the image, never forming a single name, but instead representing a collective use of language.
